Privacy Policy

Fuego ("we", "our", "us") is a cross-listing tool for online resellers, offered as a Chrome browser extension, companion web application, and the Fuego Comps mobile app for iOS. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

When you use Fuego, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, and authentication credentials managed through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Listing data — item details you create or import (titles, descriptions, prices, photos, condition, categories) for the purpose of cross-listing across supported marketplaces (eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace).
• Platform session data — the extension accesses cookies for supported marketplace sites solely to perform actions you initiate, such as creating, editing, or delisting items on your behalf. We do not store marketplace passwords.
• Usage data — basic analytics such as features used, errors encountered, and session duration to help us improve the product.

1a. Fuego Comps Mobile App

Fuego Comps is a free iOS app that displays sold listing data from eBay and Poshmark. The app collects the following:

• Search queries — stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit or store your searches on any server.
• Camera access — used solely to scan product barcodes for price lookup. No images are stored or transmitted.
• Basic usage analytics — anonymous event data (screens viewed, features used) to help us improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.

The app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not use cookies or third-party trackers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide core functionality — creating, managing, and syncing listings across marketplaces.
• Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
• Detect sold items and update listing statuses.
• Improve reliability, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Communicate with you about your account or service changes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your listing and account data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon. Item images are stored using Amazon S3. Our backend application is hosted on Render. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, strictly to operate Fuego:

• Authentication — Clerk (account sign-in and session management).
• Hosting & infrastructure — Render, Neon, Amazon Web Services.
• Payments — Stripe (subscription billing; we do not store your payment card details).
• Error monitoring — Sentry (collects error reports, browser/device context, and IP addresses to help us diagnose and fix bugs).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Browser Extension Permissions

The Fuego Chrome extension requires certain browser permissions to function. Here is why each permission is needed:

• scripting — reads listing data from marketplace pages to import your inventory and auto-fill listing forms when cross-listing.
• activeTab — accesses the current tab to interact with marketplace listing pages during import and cross-listing.
• storage — stores your preferences, authentication tokens, and cached listing data locally for faster performance.
• tabs — opens and manages marketplace tabs for importing and creating listings across platforms.
• alarms — schedules periodic checks for sold items across your connected marketplaces.
• cookies — reads marketplace session cookies to authenticate API requests to platforms on your behalf.
• host permissions — requires access to eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Facebook, and the Fuego web app to import listings, create cross-listings, and sync inventory data.

The extension only activates on supported marketplace sites and does not monitor general browsing activity.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your listing data, account information, and any stored images within 30 days. You can also uninstall the Chrome extension at any time, which immediately stops all local data collection and marketplace interactions.

7. Cookies

The Fuego web application uses cookies for authentication and session management. The Chrome extension reads existing marketplace cookies solely to perform cross-listing actions on your behalf — it does not set tracking cookies or third-party cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

Fuego is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the application. Continued use of Fuego after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
